Crazy Over You
Original: Radney Foster and Bill Lloyd
Written by Radney Foster and Bill Lloyd

This song appeared on the first album by Radney Foster and Bill Lloyd in 1987.  Since then it has been recorded by several other artists and re-released in 1996 on their last album together.

Tougher Than The Rest
Original: Bruce Springsteen
Written by
Bruce Springsteen

Written and originally recorded by Bruce Springsteen, this song was also recorded by Chris LeDoux and Travis Tritt, among others.  It is always a crowd favorite at Dave's shows.

Home In San Antone
Original: Bob Wills & Texas Playboys
Written by Floyd Jenkins

This song was originally recorded in 1942 by the great Bob Wills, and quickly became one of his trademark songs.  It is a good example of "Western Swing".  Since then it has been recorded by many great Country Artists including George Strait.

Just Call Me Lonesome
Original: Radney Foster
Written by Radney Foster and George Ducas

Released in 1992 on Radney's first solo album, "Just Call Me Lonesome" reached the top 10 on the Country Charts.

Momma Tried
Original: Merle Haggard
Written by Merle Haggard

One of Merle's great ones, this song was written in 1968.

Waltz Across Texas
Original: Ernest Tubb
Written by Ernest Tubb

Ernest Tubb was one of the pioneers of Country Music and this is one of his classics.  Written in 1965, this has become one of his most requested songs.

King Of Fools
Original: Dwight Yoakam
Written by Dwight Yoakam/Kostas

This song appeared on Dwights album "This Time", released in 1993.

Keep Your Hands To Yourself
Original: Georgia Satellites
Written by Dan Baird

Lead singer Dan Baird wrote this about the problems their drummer was having with his girlfriend.  He wrote it in one sitting on their tour bus.  The group was signed to Elektra Records after executives heard a cheaply made 8-track demo of this song. Elektra gave the band a 5-figure budget to cut an entire album of material in 1986, but despite attempting several different recordings of "Keep Your Hands to Yourself," none of these takes were as good as the demo. The demo was included on the album, and that is the version you hear.  Most of us would never have heard the song, but it was used on the sound track of the movie "Coyote Ugly".  Dave did this one as a request.  How does he remember all those songs?

Amarillo By Morning
Original: Chris Ledoux
Written by
Terry Stafford and Paul Fraser

Although originally released in 1975 on Chris Ledoux's album "Life As A Rodeo Man", most people recognize this song from the version released by George Strait in 1986 on his album "Strait From The Heart".  It propelled George to stardom and became one of Country Music's most recognized anthems.  It was also named as the 12th best Country song of all time by CMT.

Is Anybody Goin' To San Antone
Original: Mel Tillis
Written by
Dave Kirby and Glenn Martin

Here is another song made famous by someone other than the original artist.  Mel Tillis had this song on his album "One More Time" released in 1970, but it was the later release by Charlie Pride that most people remember.

Right Or Wrong
Original: Bob Wills & Texas Playboys
Written by
Emmet Miller

Written in 1936, and released as a single by Bob Wills, this song was re-released by Merle Haggard in 1971 on his album "A Tribute To The Best Damn Fiddle Player In The World" which re-kindled the Nation's love of Bob Wills and his Western Swing.  Once again, most of us will remember the version released by George Strait.
