Internet Radio

We are on Internet Radio!  Now, even if you can't make it to our gigs, you can still hear us at home!  We're worldwide baby!

What is Internet Radio?

Imagine sitting at your computer in Asia or anywhere else in the world, and listening to Dave's Country Music broadcast by a radio station on the other side of the globe.  What makes this possible is a technology called "streaming media".  If you are interested in how the technology works, you can find out all about it on the web.  The important thing to us is that we can now share Dave's Country Music with Fans everywhere.

All you need for Internet Radio is a computer (which, if you are reading this, you obviously have), a sound card and speakers (doesn't everybody have those?), an Internet connection (see comment after "computer") and a media player.  If you don't have a player, you can download one free by clicking on the links below:

Now that you are all set up and ready to hear the music, where is Dave?  Well, here are some stations that have Dave's music and are playing it.  Click on the banner below and go to the radio station website.  You can connect to their radio stream there, and request songs by Dave.

How to request songs by Dave on Always Country:

First, go to http://www.alwayscountry.net/ and click on  "Click here to tune in".  Then select your internet connection speed and your player.  If you don't know which player you have, just click on each one until you hear the music.

If you hear the music, go to the next step. If not, then get a player or fix what other computer problem you have until you can hear the music.

Note:  Usually, you can let the music play in the background while you continue web surfing or working on your computer.  There is no reason to stop using the computer while the music plays.

Second,  decide which song by Dave you want to request.  Pick any of the songs on his CD,  but if you can't make up your mind, may I suggest "Living A Lie" or "Misty Eyed".

Third, find out which DJ is currently working. Go to http://www.alwayscountry.net/schedule.htm. This lists which DJ is playing at what time. If the chart says "auto", there is no DJ working at that time and they will not be able to handle requests.  Come back at a time when a DJ is working.  Note that the times are Eastern Time, so you may need to adjust for your local time to match the time you see in the chart.

Now go to http://www.alwayscountry.net/requests.htm and fill out the form. For your name, you can use anything, but there is nothing wrong with using your first name. Likewise, for location, you can use anything, but best to use the town and state where you are. Artist and song title is Dave Jorgenson and the song title you decided on in the second step. The current DJ is the name you got from the chart in step three. You can put anything you want in the dedication section, but be aware that they will be reading it on the air. They will disregard anything that isn't appropriate to be said on the air.

Now sit back and they should play your request within the next 2 to 3 songs. Have fun, and thanks for requesting Dave.
