Dave and RIO 2nd annual "Honky Tonk New Years" at Coupland Dancehall.

Dave, and the Band RIO, will be ringing in the New Year for the second straight year at the Coupland Dancehall on December 31, 2004 with plenty of their great Country Music.  Doors open at 7:00 and the Band takes the stage at 8:30.

Admission is $25 per person, and that includes private club membership, party favors, a balloon drop and champagne at Midnight, a "good luck" serving of black eyed peas Coupland style, and an evening of dancing to the finest music in Central Texas.  There will also be a wonderful serving of breakfast tacos and coffee available after the show for just $2.50.

Special this year: All Nighter at the Old Coupland Inn and Dancehall!

After 12:00 pm, go to your car, get your sleeping bag, your pillow and camp out in the Dancehall all night for only $10.00 a head. (NO SLEEPWEAR ALLOWED, THIS IS NOT A PAJAMA PARTY) Cheaper than a taxi and a lot more fun! We will have sober chaperones and plenty of coffee and sodas, while we wait to see if the Coupland Ghost will make an appearance. Just call the Dancehall  by December 23rd to make your reservation for the sleep over!

Coupland Dancehall is located in Coupland Texas, just off Highway 95 between Elgin and Taylor.  The Dance hall, one of the original Texas Dance halls, is in a building that was built in 1910.  The bars in the Dance hall are over 100 years old and have heard music by most of the Texas greats.

Many movies have been filmed at the Coupland Dancehall including: Lonesome Dove, A Perfect World, Cadillac Ranch, Varsity Blues, Home Fries, and Flesh and Bone.  TV shoots there include Stevie Ray Vaughn's Change It music video, MacGyver, a commercial for Ford Motor Company, a Miller Lite commercial with Randy White, Earl Campbell, and Donnie Gay, and a David Ball CMT video.   It is a perfect place to welcome in the New Year.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dave Jorgenson Featured on Internet Radio Station Always Country

Austin, Texas August 2, 2004. Dave Jorgenson, a new Country Music Singer/Songwriter and Recording Artist, was featured Friday July 30 and again on Sunday August 1 in a Showcase on Internet Radio Country Music station “Always Country”. The Showcase consisted of one and one half hours of Dave’s music, including songs from his CD Then And Now, as well as songs recorded during some of his live performances. Station Founder and DJ “Gramps” said: “I love Old Time Country, and Dave represents the next generation of Traditional Country Artists. The entire Staff enjoys Dave’s music.”

Fan response was overwhelmingly positive. Among the many responses received by the radio station after the broadcast were comments such as: “He’s great!” “He’s terrific!” “Is this Dwight Yoakam?” Another listener commented: “I'm not sure he's so much like Alan Jackson and George Strait, or is it George Jones?” Gramps summed it up with: “All I know is that with artists like Dave, the Murder on Music Row is going to be delayed for a number of decades.”

Dave commented that “It is an honor and a privilege to be featured on “Always Country”, and I appreciate everything Gramps and the staff at the radio station have done. Internet Radio is a way for Independent Artists like me to have our music heard. I am very pleased and humbled by the listener’s responses.”

Listen for Dave’s songs as part of the regular programming on “Always Country” Internet Radio.

“Always Country” can be found on the web at HTTP://www.alwayscountry.net. The station is on the air 24 hours a day, and provides music feeds in stereo for high speed connections, and mono for dial-up.
